Toybox Rides at Riverside Auto Sales presents something that doesn't come along twice: the Camera Car from the 1977 film Greased Lightning — the Richard Pryor movie that told the story of Wendell Scott, the first African American driver to win a NASCAR race. This is not a replica. This is not a tribute. This is the actual car.

Built at Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania and raced from 1955 to 1973, this 1933 Chevy has lived a full life before and after the cameras rolled. After the film it passed through Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown, Iowa before being restored in 2000. It came to Riverside in 2011 and has been here since — documented, registered, and verified. Of the 11 cars used in the production, the other 10 are believed to still be in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is the only one that got out.

The camera mount on the left roll bar is part of the car's documented history. Now powered by a 327 V-8 with a 3-speed transmission, it's a driver as well as a piece of American racing and film history. The ownership is registered as #126 in the Old Timers Registration at Williams Grove, PA. It appeared publicly in Spring Green, WI in 2014 on a 1957 Hodges car hauler. Photos and full provenance documentation are on file and available for review.

At $4,999 through Toybox Rides at Riverside Auto Sales, this is the kind of opportunity that serious collectors and film history enthusiasts recognize immediately. Call 715-284-4525 — there is genuinely nothing else like this on the market.
