The 1961 Biscayne is the clean one — simpler trim, uncluttered lines, and that distinctive flat roofline that makes the full-size early sixties Chevy look its absolute best. The two rear tail lights are a Biscayne-only detail that collectors recognize immediately, and on this car they punctuate a striking blue finish that's matched all the way into the cloth bucket seat interior. Darkened windows keep the heat out and the look sharp.
Under the hood sits a 454 pulled from a 1972 Corvette — a big block with serious credentials — backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic. Power steering and front disc brakes were added by Paul before the car left the first time and remain in place. The trunk cavity is very clean and rust free. Since it left, the car gained new Cragar SS wheels and new tires — a period-correct wheel choice that suits this build perfectly.
