Toybox Rides at Riverside Auto Sales presents what every serious collector wants to find and almost never does: a numbers-matching 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 four-speed — documented, verified, and correct.
The motor number stamps tell the story: #283410 on the block, #283410 on the VIN tag. The engine has 125 miles on a fresh build while the body carries its honest 70,800 original miles. Oklahoma provenance through 2011 means the underside is clean and unmolested — the kind of unrestored foundation that serious collectors spend years hunting for.
The specification list is as correct as it gets: 1963 high-performance pinned heads #3814690, Mystery Motor exhaust manifolds 3822925-L and 3822926-R, and the correct GM Snowflake dual 4-barrel intake wearing Edelbrock carbs — a rare and proper piece for this application. Full 2½" exhaust runs all the way back, custom built by Al Devebic. Power steering and front disc brakes make this car as driveable as it is collectible. Dyno sheets are on file.
One honest disclosure: correct solid lifter cam and lifters were unavailable at time of build, so a hydraulic system was installed. Everything else is correct throughout.
The Beach Boys wrote a song about this engine. Toybox Rides gives you the chance to own the real thing — Monaco Blue, numbers matching, fully documented, and priced at $47,500 following a recent reduction. At Riverside Auto Sales in Black River Falls, WI, pre-purchase independent inspections are always welcome. Call 715-284-4525 for the full history package including dyno sheets.
